KSI Namangan installed a pavilion promoting Korea at the International Flower Festival in Namangan which took place from May 22 to June 5. This is the largest event among the international festivals held in Uzbekistan, which started back in 1961. Joined by tourists and floriculturists from all around the world, 16 million flowers of 300 varieties have been planted this year. KSI Namangan prepared the Korean Pavilion in Babur Park, the main venue of the event to promote Korea and the language.
The pavilion was filled with information on education programs offered by KSI from the exhibition of textbooks and an introduction to the online system to the materials on the diversity of courses. KSI students joined the event despite being in the middle of the semester to inform about Korean culture with pride. Locals who didn’t have much knowledge on Korea showed a great interest in the Korean language and culture. They were particularly interested in our unique culture, such as the hanbok, ceramics, folk painting and samulnori.
“KSI Namangan will continue to stay with the 3 million people of Namangan to promote the Korean language and culture, like the KSI slogan, creating a world we dream of through the Korean language and culture,” said Director Song In-Seong of the institute.
