KSIF releases Cyber Korean Beginner & Intermediate Workbook (hereinafter ‘Workbook’) to help students in their advanced learning of the Cyber Korean course.
The Workbook consists of four books, which are designed to effectively mirror the content of the Cyber Korean class. The Workbook comes in four levels: Beginner 1, 2, and Intermediate 1, 2. It is constructed in such way that its study objectives are advanced or expanded as the learning progresses. The material was created based on the survey of teachers who use the online KSI curriculum and the opinions of the teachers at 11 KSI locations.
The Workbook comes in two parts: the ‘Practice’ book helps students self-evaluate their understanding of key lessons with a focus on vocabulary and grammar, whereas the ‘Activity’ book focuses on listening, reading, speaking, writing, and application. The ‘Practice’ book has four sections named ‘Let’s check, Practice Vocabulary, and Practice Grammar 1, 2,’ while the ‘Activity’ book has three sections named ‘Listen and speak, Read and write, and One more step.’
Because the book is centered around practicing vocabulary, expressions, and grammar, it can be adapted according to the local curriculum at different KSI locations, with additional grammar practice available in the ‘One More Step’ section. What makes the book special is that it comes with examples and suggested answers so that students can evaluate themselves.
Like the main textbook of the Cyber Korean course, the Workbook also comes localized in 12 languages (Korean, English, Chinese, Spanish, Russian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Portuguese, Thai, Arabic, French).
Anyone can view or download the Workbook on Nuri KSI(nuri.iksi.or.kr)free of charge, and the workbooks will be uploaded sequentially starting with the Korean & English versions in May. The Teacher’s Guide, which includes step-by-step teaching instructions, can also be used by teachers as teaching materials.
