Learning Korean Recipes and Makeup Styles Online!

KSI Surabaya, Indonesia (Hong Jongyoun, Operating Staff)

KSI Surabaya held online classes under the themes of K-food and K-beauty. Cultural teachers from the KSI branch rolled up their sleeves for these special classes.

During the Korean cooking class, learners got to learn how to make japchae (stir-fried glass noodles and vegetables) and tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cake). Learners were informed of the ingredients needed for the dishes ahead of the class so that they could have them ready and followed the instructions of their teacher during class.

As for the K-beauty class, a makeup demonstration was given under the theme of “Korean daily makeup.” Learners who were interested in Korean makeup styles watched the demonstration with great enthusiasm and asked questions that they had.

Even COVID-19 cannot seem to keep KSI learners from pursuing their passion for Korean culture. KSI Surabaya promises to present its learners with even more diverse online cultural classes in the future.
