Briefing Held on the Return of Qualified Korean Language Teachers Sent Abroad

15 teachers who were dispatched to Russia, USA, Vietnam, Brazil, India, and other countries participated
Gathered to share performances such as presenting outstanding cases, discussion on improving education, and other pertinent issues

The King Sejong Institute Foundation (hereinafter referred to as KSIF) (President Kang Hyounhwa) hosted a ‘Briefing on the return of qualified Korean language teachers sent abroad’.
On the 7th of last month, KSIF held the briefing on the return of qualified Korean language teachers sent abroad with the presence of 15 teachers who were dispatched to Russia, USA, Vietnam, Brazil, India, and others in the Conference Room on the 12th floor of KSIF located in Seocho-gu, Seoul. This event was prepared to encourage the teachers who have returned after completing their duties of disseminating Korean language and culture in the KSIs to which they were dispatched.

During this event, a video on the activities of dispatched teachers was screened and there were discussions and presentations on improving the education of KSI. Four teachers, Lim Yangtaek at Islamabad KSI, Jun Kyungsun at Poznan KSI, Park Kuemeun at Ulaanbaatar 4 , and KSI Center Vietnam who were selected for outstanding activity report announced their outstanding cases and an award ceremony was also held.

Kang Hyounhwa, the President of KSIF, expressed her gratitude to the teachers who have been dispatched through her welcoming speech by stating, “Amidst the unexpected COVID-19 outbreak this year, KSI has positioned itself as an institute disseminating Korean language and culture overseas thanks to the concerns and efforts of teachers who have been sent abroad”.
Park Hyejin, who participated in this briefing on the returns, expressed her participation in this event by stating, “This has been an opportunity to promote exchanges between teachers in the same batch who have been dispatched together,” and that, “I hope the support of KSIF will continue in the future for the teachers who have completed their dispatch terms”.
