> Announcement of winning entries of 2025 KSI Alumni & Supporter Networking Event

On November 27, the King Sejong Institute Foundation (Acting President and Secretary General Choi Hyun-Seung, hereafter referred to as the KSIF) hosted the 2025 KSI Alumni & Supporter Networking Event at Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam.

Held under the theme “Nurturing Dreams, the Path of KSI,” the event provided an opportunity for mutual exchange and communication by bringing together 54 KSI alumni who are currently studying or working in Korea along with 70 representatives from sponsoring companies and universities.

The event served as a meaningful occasion for scholarship recipients to express their gratitude to sponsoring organizations while offering encouragement and support to one another. Several alumni shared their experiences of studying in Korea and their individual dreams, including Pham Ngoc Quynh Nhi, a graduate of KSI Hanoi 1, Vietnam, and a Hangeul Nuri Foundation scholarship recipient currently enrolled in the master’s program in Korean Language and Literature at Duksung Women’s University.

The event also unveiled the winning entries of the 2025 KSI Alumni Korean Life Essay Video Contest. Through a diverse range of works capturing the concerns, growth, and challenges of K-college students and K-professionals pursuing their dreams, attendees were able to gain vivid insights into the real-life experiences of KSI alumni living in Korea.

To support the growth of learners who have graduated from KSIs, the KSIF operates scholarship programs in partnership with sponsoring organizations such as Hangeul Nuri, KB Kookmin Card, and Hancom. Since the program’s launch in 2015, a total of 231 scholarship recipients from 57 countries have studied in Korea, fulfilling their dreams through academic study and employment at Korean companies.

Choi Hyun-Seung, secretary general of the KSIF, stated, “KSI learners are growing into talented individuals equipped with the competencies required by the global community as they build their Korean language proficiency and experience Korean culture. Moving forward, the KSIF will continue to collaborate with like-minded sponsoring organizations to support alumni as they grow and thrive as bridges connecting Korea with the world in diverse fields.”
