On July 26 and 27, KSI Center Vietnam and KSI Ho Chi Minh 2, 3, and 5 participated in the “2025 Korea–Vietnam Friendship Culture Day,” co-hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam and the KSI Korean Cultural Center, Vietnam, operating cultural experience booths. This annual large-scale cultural event attracted thousands of Ho Chi Minh citizens and residents from neighboring regions who love Korean culture.
Through the experience booths, KSIs in Vietnam offered various programs such as Korean language course counseling, Hangeul calligraphy, and traditional folk games. The booths were designed to allow participants not just to observe but to directly engage with Korean culture, experiencing the delicacy and beauty of Korean traditions firsthand.

From the very first day, the Hangeul calligraphy experience program run by KSI Ho Chi Minh 5 drew much attention. Participants held brushes and tried writing Hangeul themselves, discovering a new source of enjoyment. One participant shared, “I have studied Korean before, but this was my first time doing Hangeul calligraphy. Today’s experience was both fascinating and meaningful, and it gave me a new perspective on Korean culture.”
At KSI Center Vietnam, participants enjoyed a modified version of yutnori designed to be easy for anyone to play. They threw the sticks twice and received prizes based on their scores, filling the event hall with laughter and cheers. A staff member of KSI Center Vietnam commented, “We put a lot of thought into preparing this so that many people could experience Korean traditional games, and I am very happy that participants enjoyed it.”

At KSI Ho Chi Minh 2, participants enjoyed a variety of activities including making norigae (traditional ornaments), bokjumeoni (lucky pouches), and hanbok-themed envelopes, as well as taking part in Korean-related quizzes. Meanwhile, KSI Ho Chi Minh 3 prepared a pungmulnori (traditional percussion performance) experience. In particular, the KSI Ho Chi Minh 3 booth allowed visitors to try playing traditional instruments such as the buk (drum) and janggu (hourglass drum), which proved highly popular with both adults and children.
