KSIF announces the results of the 2023 KSI Learner Satisfaction Survey with enhanced representativeness
>
Number of respondents increased by 123% compared to the previous year, reliability and representativeness increased while maintaining the satisfaction score
>
Intention to re-register reaches 97.1 points, a 4.1 point increase from the previous year
The King Sejong Institute Foundation (President Lee Hai-young, hereinafter KSIF) recorded a comprehensive satisfaction score of 91.1 points, the highest ever, in the 2023 KSI Satisfaction Survey targeting KSI learners worldwide.
This survey was conducted from October 2023 to January 2024 targeting 15,325 KSI learners worldwide through an external survey research institution. The results of the comprehensive satisfaction score by item are as follows: ▲social satisfaction (92.7 points) ▲overall satisfaction (92.6 points) ▲satisfaction with cultural education courses and programs (92.5 points) ▲curriculum satisfaction (90.3 points) ▲facility and environmental satisfaction (89.1 points) and ▲textbook satisfaction (86.5 points).
Among the responses, positive responses indicating intention to re-register at KSI (97.1 points) increased by 4.1 points compared to the previous year, and responses indicating a positive image of Korea through KSI (97.6 points) and intention to recommend KSI courses to others (96.6 points) also maintained a high level, increasing by 0.3 and 0.4 points respectively compared to the previous year.
For the purpose of learning Korean, the highest responses was in ▲ interest Korea and Korean culture (34%), followed by ▲ interest in Korean language (24%). The number of responses for academic purposes such as studying in Korea also increased compared to last year. Considering that the responses indicating a learning period of 'less than 6 months' was the highest (49%) among the results of the learning period survey, it can be analyzed that the influx of new learners increased from interest in Korea and Korean culture and language. If the learning period is extended, it is expected that specific learning objectives for practical use (such as studying in Korea, employment in Korean companies, etc.) will increase.
This year's learner satisfaction survey is scheduled to be conducted from June, and plans are underway to continuously expand and provide survey languages to enable participation of learners from various countries.
