Submission for New KSI Applications for the Year 2024

King Sejong Institute Foundation (President Lee Hai-young, hereinafter referred to as "KSIF") will be receiving applications for 2024 new KSI designation online by Thursday, February 8. The KSI is Korea’s leading Korean language and Korean culture education brand supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Yu Inchon). There are 248 being operated in 85 countries across the world as of June 2023. Once designated as a KSI, KSIF offers various kinds of support required for Korean language and Korean culture education including budget, teachers, etc.
KSIF has announced, ‘Information on applications for new KSI for the year 2024’ and started to receive applications on its website (https://www.ksif.or.kr) from November 30. Any university or government institution around the world interested in operating a KSI can submit the application online on the KSI integrated back-office management system (http://nbms.ksif.or.kr) by 5 p.m. on February 8, 2024. The selection process includes ▲ application screening, ▲ onsite due diligence and ▲ final evaluation. The results of the new KSI designations are to be announced around June next year after undergoing the evaluation at each and every stage by the designated Screening Committee, which consists of experts from each field, including Korean language education and Korean culture, overseas areas, etc.

KSIF also held a ‘New KSI Information Session’ in Seoul and Daejeon, for institutions that want to operate a new KSI, to enhance their understanding of the project to designate new KSI and answer questions about how to prepare the application form, etc.
KSIF, on the other hand, will hold an online information session via Zoom on January 12, 2024 for overseas applicants. Institutions interested in attending the session can check the announcement on KSI’s website and apply by email (newksi@ksif.or.kr) by January 8.

The information session will include an explanation and overview of how to apply, and what to prepare for the project to designate new KSI in 2024 and introduction of KSI business and Q&A.
