KSIF offered domestic training to newly recruited KSI Dispatched Teachers (hereinafter ‘Dispatched Teachers) prior to their going abroad.

The 46 Dispatched Teachers recruited for the first half of 2023 completed 100 hours of training from January 9th to January 19th, during which they learned about teaching methods and received the training necessary to adjust to the local circumstances at the KSI locations where each of them will be joining.

In particular, the training this year emphasized the renewed Sejong teaching method, which was revised in September 2022, so that the new instructors can use it to teach prospective students. The training program also included other topics, such as “local safety,” “understanding the local culture,” and “response to infectious diseases” to ensure that the Dispatched Teachers can adapt to the new environment quickly and efficiently.

According to president Lee Haiyoung, “Dispatched Teachers play the most crucial role in KSI, so it is important that they receive the most effective and appropriate training necessary for teaching classes and conducting activities. We plan to reinforce core training to help them adapt to new environments, and we are open to actively introducing new programs that are in line with this goal.”
