The King Sejong Institute Foundation (President: Kang Hyounhwa, hereinafter KSIF) will operate the “2021 On-line Retraining Course” from July 12, through the Nuri Sejong Institute (http://nuri.ksif.or.kr).
The course is targeting teachers and operating personnel from the 234 KSIs in 82 countries around the world, registration will be conducted on-line of course. This year, the number of enrollees for the courses has reached 1,600, confirming the teachers’ interest in the on-line retraining course.
KSIF has been offering on-line retraining courses from 2016 to improve the quality of Korean language education and strengthen the expertise of the teachers, as the demand for Korean learning is growing worldwide.
This year, a total of 114 lectures in 12 courses, including basic and advanced courses, are being offered. New courses such as, “Understanding operation of on-line Korean classes,” are particularly noteworthy. As the educational environment is diversifying recently, such as on-line courses, due to COVID-19, the lectures have been prepared accordingly.
President Kang Hyounhwa of the King Sejong Institute Foundation emphasized that, “It is important to secure qualified Korean teachers to respond to the increasing demand for Korean language learning and to enhance the quality of education,” and added that “We will develop retraining programs suited for local circumstances every year, to raise convenience and effectiveness.”
