Support project for local dedicated teachers of KSI held for the first time in 2021

  1. Establishing a support project for local teachers to create a safe working environment for local teachers with abilities in the local language and culture
  2. A total of 50 teachers from 35 institutes selected in 2021; support starts in June

The King Sejong Institute Foundation (hereinafter KSIF, President: Kang Hyounhwa,) selects dedicated local teachers and provided guaranteed stable work to support them. Through such support, working conditions and the Korean education environment are expected to improve autonomously.

The dedicated teachers of local KSI institutes are in charge of education and educational administration tasks, and will be assigned administrative tasks such as management of academic affairs, evaluations, completion of achievement levels, etc. in addition to teaching Korean language.

Dedicated teachers were selected through screening among the applicants with qualifications required by the KSIF, and support will be provided by KSIF for the salaries of selected teachers through the institution.

KSIF plans to expand its support for the teachers of KSI to conduct educational activities in Korean language and culture in a stable environment. Accordingly, KSIF will receive applications for “King Sejong Institute Dedicated Teacher” from the teachers in the affiliated operating institutes in Korea from the end of June to the second week of July, select them through a screening process, and provide support for them.

The local dedicated teacher support project is expected to improve the treatment of Korean teachers, improve the quality of education, and exert a positive influence on the students of KSI.
