Education Example Contest for Participants in the World Korean Educators Conference

Preliminary Example Contest in May for Presenting 'Real-Life Cases of Korean Language Education in Korea and Overseas' on the First Day of the Contest

KSIF will host the 2021 World Korean Educators Conference in a face-to-face/non-face-to-face manner to enable Korean language educators at home and abroad to share real-life examples and to provide training on Korean language and culture education. The 'World Korean Educators Conference', which has been held every year since the first conference in 2009, has been conducted in a way that domestic Korean teachers (face-to-face) and overseas Korean teachers (non-face-to-face) can come together due to the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic since last year.

The 2021 World Korean Educators Conference is scheduled to be held from July 6 (Tue) to 9 (Fri), of which, until 8 (Thurs), it will be conducted using a combination of face-to-face and non-face-to-face methods, allowing overseas Korean teachers to participate.

In particular, on the first day of the conference, a presentation of 'Korean Language Education Field Examples at Home and Abroad' will be given. The selection of cases for presentation will be conducted through an open contest (May 3-28), and the selected teachers will be provided with the opportunity to give a presentation and a laptop that can be used for online classes.

From the second day of the contest, based on the themes of 'How to Operate Korean Culture Classes' and 'How to Use AI Korean Language Teaching Materials', Korean teachers will introduce and practice applicable educational methods in an actual Korean language education setting.

On the final day, based on the contents discussed during the training period, the results of the training will be summarized through “Korean class demonstration presentations” given by the participants.
