Learning How to Make Beautiful Hanji Online!

KSI Vilnius, Lithuania recently held a fun cultural class!

KSI Vilnius has been hosting a wide range of cultural experience programs much to the delight of its learners, and this time, it hosted a special event to introduce hanji, traditional Korean paper, and show people how hanji handicrafts are made.

Although we could not meet in person due to the restrictions in place because of COVID-19, the learners had a wonderful time making hanji at home. We had sent the necessary supplies to their homes in advance so that they could participate in class.

We first showed them how to make hanji and demonstrated diverse types of handicrafts that can be made with hanji. Afterwards, the learners attached hanji with a beautiful image of a persimmon tree on a hardboard to make hanji crafts themselves.

Then, they were given a chance to show off what they each had made and appreciate other learners’ works as well.
