The King Sejong Institute Foundation (KSIF, president: Kang Hyounhwa), together with the Overseas Koreans Foundation, will expand support for Korean language and Korean cultural education for the next generation of overseas Koreans and foreigners.

The KSIF signed a business agreement with the Overseas Koreans Foundation (president Han Woo-sung) to support Korean language and Korean cultural education for the next generation of overseas Koreans and foreigners at 11 am on the 15th in Seocho-dong, Seoul.

Based on this agreement, both institutions will share Korean language and Korean cultural education materials, such as online educational materials installed in Nuri-Sejong Hakdang (www.sejonghakdang.org), a website related to Korean, and Study Korean (m.study.korean.net), and expand the program of exchanges and support to strengthen the capabilities of foreign Korean teachers.

Kang Hyounhwa, the President of KSIF said “Although the Korean Language School was established for school-age overseas Koreans to strengthen their identity as Koreans and gain knowledge about their home country, increasing numbers of foreigners are coming to learn Korean these days. The KSIF will actively support the next generation of adult overseas Koreans and foreign learners to receive professional and optimized Korean language education.”

Based on the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's “Korean Diffusion Plan (2020-2022)”, the KSIF plans to strengthen the expertise of Korean teachers abroad as well as the cooperation system for disseminating Korean.
