Hangul T-shirts Made with Beautiful Colors!
Vietnam Ho Chi Minh 3 KSI
On August 6, Ho Chi Minh 3 King Sejong Institute (hereinafter referred to as KSI) (President Lee Seonha) organized the August Culture Program under the theme ‘Colors of Korea- My Korean name decorated with Obangsaek (Five Cardinal Colors)’.
This ‘Making a Hangul T-shirt’ event was carried out for 14 learners of the Beginner’s course. First, the traditional colors of Korean Obangsaek were introduced together with various traditional patterns and clothes using Obangsaek. Learners were amazed at the beauty of Dancheong (traditional multi-colored paintwork on wooden buildings) and they were interested in how Obangsaek could be found not only in Dancheong and Hanbok, but also in food like bibimbap with which they were familiar.
Then, learners spent time decorating their Korean names with Obangsaek on white T-shirts. Learners not only exhibited their individuality by expressing their names differently, but also by drawing various patterns.
Ho Chi Minh 3 KSI plans to offer more diverse and fun cultural classes in the future! Please look forward to them!
