at 4th Korean Culture Festival on the Stone Wall Road

From October 25 to 26, the 4th Korean Culture Festival on the Stone Wall Road Hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam was successfully held over two days along the stone wall road of the embassy in Hanoi. KSI Hanoi 1 and 2 participated together, presenting a variety of hands-on programs and creating a space for cultural exchange that introduced Korean culture to Hanoi residents in a special way. The experience spaces operated by KSI Hanoi 1 and 2 were open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and participants enjoyed a wide range of traditional cultural activities, including samulnori, dalgona candy games, jegichagi, ttakji-chigi, and hanbok-shaped paper folding.

On the first day of the festival, KSI Hanoi 2 operated a variety of programs at its experience space, including the dalgona candy game, traditional games, quiz events, and hanbok-shaped paper folding, drawing an enthusiastic response from many citizens. One participant said, “It was really fun to try the dalgona candy game in person. I had only seen it in Korean dramas.”
On the second day of the festival, KSI Hanoi 1 operated its experience space from early morning, offering thoughtfully prepared gifts to participants. Visitors to the KSI space were able to try playing samulnori instruments themselves, and attendees dressed in hanbok enjoyed handling the instruments. Dinh Thi Thuy Linh, an operations staff member at KSI Hanoi 1, commented, “This event was meaningful in that it made the KSI more familiar to Hanoi residents and the Vietnamese people. We are delighted to have received such a positive response from so many participants thanks to this experience programs, which was prepared for all age groups. We hope to continue to create opportunities for people who love Korean language and culture to participate and enjoy hands-on experiences.”

The Korean Culture Festival on the Stone Wall Road Hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam is a flagship Korean culture festival that attracts more than 30,000 visitors each year. This year, the participation of KSI Hanoi 1 and 2 served as a meaningful opportunity to further raise interest in Korean culture among the Vietnamese people and to promote the KSI brand more widely, contributing to enhanced mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries and strengthening cultural ties.
