and Promotional Activities during the Boryeong Mud Festival
Steven Chan shared his thoughts on being selected as a Chungnam Tourism Supporter, saying, “I submitted a research project on Chungcheongnam-do, presented it online, and was finally selected as a Chungnam Tourism Supporter through a public review process. Since I had already immersed myself in Korea by taking various classes such as pansori, calligraphy, and TOPIK at KSI Tangerang, I am truly delighted and honored to have gained this precious opportunity after competing with friends from over ten countries.”
He further remarked, “As a Chungnam Tourism Supporter, I promoted the Boryeong Mud Festival, enjoyed the mud bath experience with friends, and attended the K-pop concert held during the festival. I also had the special experience of appreciating the beauty of a hanok at Jukdo Sanghwawon and learning how to bow from a monk at Baegunsa Temple.” He added, “With a growing desire to learn more about Chungnam, I have also been running an online study group where we study one city each month. Based on these activities, I hope to propose creative promotional ideas so that more international tourists will visit Chungnam during the ‘Visit Chungnam Years.’”
