The first "Dream Sharing" event by KSI Pune, offering senior learners the opportunity to share
their experiences with junior learners
On November 30, KSI Pune, India hosted a presentation by Chirag Seshu Jaladi, who participated in the 2024 KSI
Distinguished Learners Invitation Program and worked as an intern at the Nami Island Education and Culture
Group. The event was the inaugural session of the "Dream Sharing" series, designed to provide senior learners
who are achieving their dreams through Korean language learning with a platform to share their methods and
experiences with junior learners. Around 80 people attended the event, including the institute director,
operating agency representatives, teachers, and beginner-level learners from KSI Pune.
Chirag began learning Korean three years ago and completed the Sejong Korean 4A course at KSI Pune. He is also
an active K-pop cover dancer with approximately 34,000 followers on social media. This year, he won the KSI Pune
Korean Speech Contest and participated in the 2024 KSI Distinguished Learners Invitation Program from October 6
to 12. Additionally, Chirag was selected as an intern for the India-Korea Center Career Support Center, which
supports KSI Pune learners in studying and working in Korea. From September to December, he worked as an intern
at the Nami Island Education and Culture Group, where he planned events such as Indian cultural festivals.

At the presentation held at KSI Pune for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, Chirag shared his experiences, including
communicating with people from around the world using Korean as a common language, the importance of deeply
understanding the Korean language, and the unforgettable moments of collaboration with team members.
Chirag remarked, "My experience participating in cultural planning at KSI Pune was immensely helpful when
organizing new events and collaborating with people in Korea. If you pursue your passion with determination, you
can achieve your dreams," as he reflected on his presentation.

Shravani, a psychology student at Fergusson College and a current Sejong Korean 2B learner at KSI Pune,
expressed her determination to improve her Korean language skills by saying, "I will practice speaking Korean
even harder to become proficient like Chirag." Shriya, a Sejong Korean 1B learner, stated, "I actively
participate in KSI events, and this lecture gave me the confidence that gaining extensive experience at KSI will
serve as a solid foundation for my future." Lim Eun-joo, the institute director who encouraged Chirag by
teaching him Hangul consonants and vowels and promoting participation in institute activities, shared, "I am
immensely proud that Chirag has successfully accomplished tasks requiring responsibility and dedication through
his Korean language skills, becoming an inspiring senior at KSI for the junior learners."

Through this presentation, learners at KSI Pune realized the importance of practical Korean speaking skills for
effective communication, the value of engaging in volunteering and club activities at KSI to understand cultural
differences between Korea and India, and the necessity of building teamwork. Additionally, the learners were
inspired by the message that experiencing Korean culture firsthand and working in Korea is not a distant dream
but a realistic goal achievable through their own efforts and with the support of KSIF and KSI Pune.
