KSIF recruits teachers for dispatch in the first half of 2024

The King Sejong Institute Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "KSIF") is currently in the process of selecting Dispatched Teachers for the first half of 2024. The recruitment process began with the announcement posted on the KSIF website (www.ksif.or.kr) on December 14, and the final selections are scheduled to be announced in January 2024.

This selection aims to recruit 81 teachers who will be dispatched to 72 KSI locations in 43 countries during the first half of 2024. After the application submission deadline on December 28, the Foundation is carrying out document screening and interviews. To apply for the position of a KSI dispatched teacher, applicants must be Korean nationals residing in Korea and hold a Korean-Language Teacher Qualification.

Since 2022, the Foundation has allowed applicants to choose the specific country and city where they wish to work at the time of document submission. The selection process changed from assigning the dispatch country and city, after passing to allowing applicants to specifically select their preferred dispatch location. However, as visa requirements vary by country, applicants should refer to the additional requirements in the announcement and choose KSI locations accordingly.

This blind recruitment process consists of the first round of document screening on January 3 (Wed) to January 4 (Thu), and the second round of interviews to be held on January 8 (Mon) to January 12 (Fri), ultimately selecting the final candidates. After selection, candidates must complete approximately 100 hours of pre-training before actively participating as KSI dispatched teachers. Teachers are expected to be dispatched to local KSI locations beginning in February, and will be receiving support for airfare, local stay expenses, insurance, and safety services, in addition to their salary.

KSIF conducts the selection of overseas dispatched Korean language teachers twice per year, and the recruitment announcement is posted on the website (www.ksif.or.kr) (KSIF website > Announcements > Recruitment). Korean language teachers aspiring to engage in dispatched activities can apply by using the system posted in the recruitment announcement (http://ksif.recruiter.co.kr).
