KSI Center USA holds various K-culture events at KCON LA 2023 for the month of August

> Korean Language and Culture Experience Hall at KCON LA 2023 held over three days from August 18
> “Princess Hwahyeop Makeup Demonstration and Experience” on August 22 through collaboration with the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation

KSIF and KSI Center USA (LA) participated in the KCON LA 2023 held at the Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, USA, from August 18 to 20, and operated the Korean Language and Culture Experience Hall to introduce Korean language and culture, and held various Korean language and culture experience events for the audience.

Visitors could use the Metaverse King Sejong Institute to participate in a game and check out realistic VR contents. They also experienced Korean learning contents through the adaptive Internet Sejong Korean Language Assessment (iSKA), mobile applications, etc. In addition, they introduced the KSI locations throughout North America for visitors from other states, as well as mobile Korean learning contents and online King Sejong Institute. In particular, writing hangeul, hanbok experience, and Korean culture experience at the photo zone received great responses from the audience.

Meanwhile, on August 22, the ”Princess Hwahyeop Makeup Demonstration and Experience” was provided with the collaboration of the KSI Center USA and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation at the KSI Center USA (Korea Center). Princess Hwahyeop was a daughter of King Yeongjo of the Joseon period and a sister of Prince Sado. As cosmetics were excavated from her tomb, she is playing an important role in the study of the cosmetics culture of the Joseon period. A total of 80 students at KSI Center USA participated in this event to experience Korean traditional culture and K-makeup and learn about Korean culture.
