First Lady visits KSI Vilnius in Lithuania

First Lady Kim Keon-hee, who is visiting Lithuania, where the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Summit is held, visited KSI Vilnius in Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) on July 11 (local time) and met with learners at KSI in Lithuania.
KSI Vilnius, which opened in 2014, operates various cultural programs such as Korean culture classes and K-pop contests, as well as Korean language classes. First Lady Kim enjoyed the photos of cultural events and calligraphy works of students at KSI Vilnius. In addition, she talked with KSI students about their experiences of studying abroad in Korea, receiving an award at a K-pop contest, and taking Korean language classes. First Lady Kim said that she was happy to meet the future generation of Lithuania, and recommended to the learners to visit Korea’s palaces and experience hanbok, Korea’s traditional clothing, Korean food, and hanok, traditional housing.

In addition, she also had time to talk with the rector of MRU, where KSI is located, and the president of KSI Vilnius. Inga Žalėnienė, Rector of Mykolas Romeris University, introduced the Korean translation of the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania, and asked for her interest in the student exchange programs in the two countries. First Lady Kim promised to make efforts to further vitalize the student exchange programs in both countries, and gave the learners “Busan is Ready” key rings of Busan World Expo 2030 as souvenirs.
