The 2023 KSI Korean Language Teacher Training (hereinafter “Training”) will be conducted in July at 21 locations in 17 countries.

KSIF has been conducting this Training since 2010, striving to foster professional teachers. This year, in particular, the training will be conducted in 21 locations in 17 countries, and the trainees will be recruited by region: 5 locations in Europe, 2 locations in the Americas, 12 locations in Asia, and 2 locations in Africa.

The schedule starts with recruitment on June 26 and the start of training at the end of July. The course will continue until November and end after special local lectures and practical training. KSIF issues a certificate of completion for trainees who complete all courses of training, practices, and evaluations. It is a program certified by the National Institute of Korean Language, and trainees who complete the Training will be given the opportunity to take the Level 3 Korean Language Teacher Qualification Test. In 2022, the training program produced 215 graduates.

Through the Training this year, local KSI Instructors who have yet to complete the Training can strengthen their expertise, and students who are interested in becoming Korean language instructors will be given the chance to work at a local KSI.
