KSI Center Vietnam visited HUTECH (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) and HULFIT (Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology) in Ho Chi Minh City as part of its ‘2022 Traveling Sejong Culture Academy’ in order to provide local students with opportunities to experience Korean culture.

The program began on December 3rd with Sejong Culture Academy visiting HUTECH with the theme ‘Korea’s New Year Culture’. The students who participated in the event learned about the traditional culture and food of Korean New Year's Day and made tteokguk themselves. The program included a Korean-Vietnamese cooking contest, where the students were allowed to make New Year's dishes of both countries and understand the cultural differences.

On December 7th, the Traveling Sejong Culture Academy was held with the theme ‘Experience Korean Food Culture’ for students who are members of HULFIT’s Korean language club. Initially organized for 30 students, the event ended up being joined by approximately 40 students thanks to its popularity, who were divided into groups to make and enjoy tteokguk.

KSIF will continue to provide the necessary support for Sejong Culture Academy and plans to offer an increasing number of opportunities for people to learn and experience Korean culture.

Directly run by KSIF, KSI Center Vietnam is located in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, and helps spread the Korean language and culture in Vietnam. Sejong Culture Academy is a project designed to promote Korean culture through overseas KSI locations.
