Now, with KSIF
KSIF signed a ‘one institution-one market sisterhood relationship’
with Yongsan Yongmun Market on November 28. This sisterhood
relationship was established to invite people to the traditional
market, which has been seeing a decline due to the prolonged pandemic,
and to contribute to the growth of the local community as part of the
Foundation’s ESG practices as a public institution.
The Foundation designates the second Friday of every month as a
‘traditional market day’ and actively encourages its employees to use
traditional markets. The Foundation will be launching a series of
promotional efforts to encourage tourists to visit traditional markets
through its Nuri KSI website ‘nuri.iksi.or.kr’ to give support to
traditional markets to help them secure long-term competitiveness.
*Nuri KSI (nuri.iksi.or.kr): A website that provides international
students with materials needed to study the Korean language and
culture.
