Now, with KSIF
On November 30th, President Lee Haiyoung of KSIF visited KSI in London, England, and met with Phil Deans, President of Richmond University, and Mary Robert, Director of KSI London, to discuss the direction of operation of KSI London, which recently moved its campus, as well as plans to expand and develop the Korean language and culture education.
On December 1st, President Lee Haiyoung of KSIF visited the Korean Education Center in England and met with Ahn Hee-seong, its Director. The two had a constructive discussion about the current standing of Korean language education in the UK, the roles of education centers and KSI locations, and the need for close intra-institution collaborations to spread the Korean language in the UK.
On December 1st, President Lee Haiyoung of KSIF visited the Korean Cultural Center in England and talked with Song In-Hong, the administrator in charge of operating the KSI at the Cultural Center, about growing interest in Korean language thanks to the Korean Wave exhibition in the UK, as well as about the current management affairs the KSI location.
On December 8th, President Lee Haiyoung of KSIF visited Honam Institution, one of the Foundation’s affiliated institutions in Korea. President Lee shared the year-end results of KSI Hangzhou in China, and KSI Osi 1 in Kyrgyzstan, both run by Honam University and discussed opportunities for partnerships with the University’s President Park Sang-cheol.
On December 16th, President Lee Haiyoung of KSIF hosted a briefing session on the KSI business to spread the Korean language and culture overseas by inviting 30 foreign diplomatic officials to Korea at Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
