Now, in KSIF
> Practical training on how to fulfil the instructor role and adapt
to local life.
> Training focused on hands-on work, including case studies on
dispatched KSI instructors.
KSIF (President Lee Haiyoung) held the Completion Ceremony for 2H 2022
KSI Overseas Dispatch Instructor Training in Korea at Seoul-On Studio
in Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) on August 17, 11am.
This pre-dispatch training program held between August 1-17 was a mix
of online and offline classes on ▲Korean language education,
▲understanding local culture, and ▲academic administration and
refinement, largely focused on practical work necessary in local KSI
sites.
The program was joined by LEE Joon-Eon (KSI Vilnius, Lithuania), our
instructor who won the grand prize at the 2021 KSI Cultural Class
Competition. He shared local cases of cultural lectures to improve the
instructors’ cultural teaching ability. A portion of lectures were
dedicated to local manners and customs with guest lecturers who are
experts of each region, to facilitate the local adaptation of our
dispatch instructors.
54 teachers who completed this training program will leave the country
once they receive their visa and start working in each assigned KSI
locations.
Instructor SON Seok-Joo (KSI Manama, Bahrain), the winner of the
Korean Training Excellence Award, said, “I was able to learn about a
lot of things with my fellow instructors. The training sessions based
on Edu-tech focused on online learning will be particularly useful in
the actual education situation.” KSIF’s President Lee Haiyoung shared
her comments, “I’m grateful that our instructors successfully finished
the training program and are ready for departure. The most important
thing is that they stay healthy and safe throughout their activities.
The foundation’s staff will do their best to help them safely enjoy a
rewarding experience.”
