‘2021 Online Sejong Culture Academy Basic Lecture’ Provided in May

Various Korean culture online courses such as K-Pop, K-beauty, calligraphy, Samulnori, Taekwondo, etc.
From May, any online King Sejong Institute learner can register for classes.

The 2021 Online Sejong Culture Academy Basic Course will be available from May.

The King Sejong Institute Foundation is supporting the operation of the 'Online Sejong Culture Academy' using the KSI online learners’ platform (www.iksi.or.kr) to support King Sejong Institutes, which have difficulties providing Korean culture classes, due to the ongoing pandemic around the world. Following last year, the '2021 Online Sejong Culture Academy Basic Lecture' will be provided for dissemination of Korean culture in a non-face-to-face online environment.

The '2021 Online Sejong Culture Academy Basic Lecture' is composed of a total of eight fields, including K-Pop lyrics, K-Pop dance, K-beauty, calligraphy, Samulnori, Taekwondo, Hanbok, and Korean paper crafts. It was created as a basic/in-depth course so that anyone from around the world who is interested in Korean culture can easily access Korean culture, and for the convenience of learners, subtitles in five languages (Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian) and auxiliary textbooks are also provided to facilitate learning.

This course can be used at any time by simply registering for a course in the 'King Sejong Institute e-Class' and 'Cyber Korean Culture Course' in the KSI online learners’ platform. In particular, KSIF has completed the opening of basic courses at thirty-eight KSI branches according to a demand survey regarding support for revitalizing basic courses within the 'King Sejong Institute e-Class'. In addition, KSIF plans to provide cultural teaching aids to enhance the experience and practice in non-face-to-face online cultural classes.

KSIF plans to further expand support for the online Sejong Culture Academy of Culture using non-face-to-face online contents along with the operation of the Sejong Culture Academy utilizing Korean culture experts. Through this, Korean language learners who love Korean culture will be able to experience and learn about Korean culture without time and space constraints, and this will further enhance the status of KSI as an institution distributing Korean culture.
