The Korean culture is enjoyed in Sejong Culture Academy!

On last July 5th, King Sejong Institute Xian, China wrapped up the Sejong Culture Academy for two months continued from June. Sejong Culture Academy is the Korean culture course in which cultural experts directly visit King Sejong Institute and provide the lecture combined with explanation and experience. King Sejong Institute Xian had lectures on makeup, Korean food, and K-Pop dance in June, and lectures on Hanbok and Samulnori in July. Total 95 Chinese people participated in the Sejong Culture Academy.

Especially, the most-popular lectures were ‘Hanbok’ and ‘Samulnori’. In the lecture on Hanbok on July 1st-2nd, the students made Tarae Beoseon(Children’s quilted socks) and also participated in Hanbok fashion show. In the lecture on Samulnori on July 4th-5th, the students understood the sound of double-headed drum, drum, gong, small gong, and also showed the Samulnori performance in the harmony of beats. Park, Bo-Eun, a dispatched teacher helping the process of Sejong Culture Academy said, “The students enthusiastically participated in the course of Sejong Culture Academy even in the hot summer. King Sejong Institute Xian will be continuously holding the events of experiencing the high-quality Korean culture in the future”.
