Korean language learners in Turkey can purchase ‘Sejong Korean’ textbooks more easily and cheaply!

KSI standard textbooks ‘Sejong Korean 1~2’ will be published in Turkey from June 28th(Fri) Improvement in accessibility and price competitiveness of ‘Sejong Korean’ textbooks

From June 28th (Fri) King Sejong Institute Foundation will publish KSI standard textbooks ‘Sejong Korean 1~2’ in Turkey.

Thanks to this, King Sejong Institutes and Korean language learners in Turkey can easily purchase ‘Sejong Korean 1~2’ textbooks from local publishing houses. First of all, the price of the textbooks is reduced by 2~3,000 won compared to the previous ones, so they can be purchased at a cheaper price.

In the meantime, buyers of ‘Sejong Korean’ textbooks in Turkey had to endure the inconvenience of ordering the textbooks from Korea. Not only did it take up to a month for delivery, but international shipping costs had to be paid in addition to the price of the textbooks. With this local publication, ‘Sejong Korean’ consumers in Turkey can easily access and pay less.

KSIF is promoting local publishing as KSIs officials expressed that it is difficult to purchase Korean textbooks overseas. Hence, the foundation is selecting local publishing areas based on local demand of Korean learners, international shipping costs, and complexity of local customs procedures. Within this year, it plans to continue expanding publishing areas such as Vietnam in addition to Turkey.

An official from the foundation said, “We will continue to improve the way to distribute related textbooks to promote Korean language and culture abroad.”
