Useful Korean phrases for travelling, information on Korean culture

On February 1st, <Travel Korean>, a textbook for foreigners travelling to Korea, was released on Nuri-Sejong Hakdang (www.sejonghakdang.org), a hub site that provides Korean language and culture.

 

King Sejong Institute Foundation has developed <Travel Korean> in order to accommodate increasing demand for Korean language around the world and also to diversify its Korean language textbooks.

 

<Travel Korean> consists of a 10 units, providing expressions and cultural information that can be useful for travelling in Korea, such as transportation, accommodation, and sightseeing. It also provides supplementary materials that can be easily used during travel, such as conversation abstracts, travel words, and diaries. The textbook is supported with audio files for listening, and it is also written in three languages: English, Chinese and Spanish: so it can be easily understood by foreigners.

 

<Travel Korean> is available as an e-book on Nuri-Sejong Hakdang (www.sejonghakdang.org) [Learn] >[Synthetic Curriculum]. The foundation will provide printed books of <Travel Korean> to KSIs around the world in April.

 

“I hope that more foreigners will be interested in Korean language and culture via <Travel Korean>,” said Hyun-hwa Kang, director of KSIF.

 

The foundation plans to develop a mobile ‘Travel Korean application’ based on its <Travel Korean> textbook.
