KSIF and Asiana Airlines Deliver

Korean Books to Uzbekistan

800 Korean language, cultural books have been donated to Tashkent KSI

On August 29th, a ceremony was held to celebrate a book donation by KSIF and Asiana Airlines to Tashkent KSI, Uzbekistan.

It was attended by director of Asiana Airlines, Cho Young-seok, and head of Tashkent KSI, Huh Seon-hang. Collaboration of KSIF and Asiana Airlines has brought about the book donation as the foundation provided the books which Asiana Airlines transported. A total of 800 books, including Sejong Korean language textbooks and books on Korean culture, have been donated and they will be used to promote Korea in Uzbekistan.

“In a collaborative partnership with Asiana Airlines, we delivered books in South Asia last year and now we’re delivering them to Central Asia this year. We plan to expand our partnership with private enterprises and provide Korean language textbooks and education materials to many more regions,” said an official from KSIF.

Meanwhile, KSIF and Asian Airlines made a business agreement in 2017 to cooperate to promote Korean language and culture abroad. Since then, they have provided books to KSIs in Indonesia, Vietnam and the USA.
