Basic Korean Lectures through
Web Dramas Aired on KBS World
Korean language lectures developed by KSIF and KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) have been aired since March 31.
The KSIF unveiled web dramas and Korean language lectures produced in cooperation with KBS on KBS World and Nuri-Sejong Hakdang (www.sejonghakdang.org) on March 31.

The KSIF made these lectures based on its newly developed Sejong Korean Speaking textbook (Basic), which allow students to learn useful Korean expressions in a fun and easy way through web dramas.

Among them, ‘Find Her,’ offered with lectures, is a sitcom planned and produced by KBS Entertainment and first aired on KBS 2TV on February 28. Kim Eui-chan, the author of “Soonpoong Clinic” and “Why Can’t We Stop Them” and Lee Hyeong-jin, the producer of “Shut Up Family” participated in the production of the web drama “Please Find Her.” This web drama drew a lot of attention from students learning the Korean language in Korea and abroad by casting K-pop group members including Chae Hyung-won of Monsta X and Oh Ha-young of Apink.

The lecture series broadcasted on KBS world since March 31st, is taught by KBS announcers Jeong Da-eun and Lee Ji-yeon, allowing more students to practice Korean expressions with correct Korean pronunciation. The KSIF provides students with additional exercises through Nuri-Sejong Hakdang to let them practice what they’ve learned through the web drama and the lectures.

The Sejong Korean Speaking lectures consisting of 14 episodes are broadcasted every Friday on KBS World and Nuri-Sejong Hakdang.
