Yook Sung-Jae from the Boy Band ‘BTOB’ is promoting KSI, Korea’s representative Korean language & culture popularization organization.
King Sejong Institute Foundation (KSIF) appointed Yook as its PR ambassador to raise its profile worldwide.
Yook Sung-Jae received an appointment letter from Minister Kim Jong-Deok at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on May 20. As a PR ambassador of KSI, Yook is going to promote KSI and its activities through PR videos of major projects such as ‘Korean Culture Day for Foreigners’ as well as through the textbooks of Nuri-Sejong Hakdang (www.sejonghakdang.org) where learners can learn about Korean language and culture.
After debuting as a member of BTOB in 2012, his career has been developing spectacularly not only as a singer, but as an actor as well. With millions of fans worldwide, he was chosen as one of 10 K-Wave Male Stars by Chinese Entertainment Network, a Chinese media outlet, together with actor Park Bo-Geom and singer D.O. of EXO.
The foundation expects that appointing Yook, a star greatly loved by fans at home and abroad, will be very helpful in promoting KSI and its activities and attract a lot of attention from around the world.
