2016: New version of Nuri-Sejong Hakdang unveiled

Development of various learning materials for both learners and teachers

Offering customer-tailored service: Restructuring mobile environment etc.

A website for learning Korean language & culture, ‘Nuri-Sejong Hakdang’, offers new learning aids and services
to learners and teachers starting from February.

King Sejong Institute Foundation (KSIF) is going to release a variety of new sources of education that are aimed
at Korean language learners and teachers through the ‘Nuri-Sejong Hakdang’ website (www.sejonghakdang.org).
Moreover, by providing Korean language learning materials specialized for SNS as well as improving the mobile
environment, it is poised to enhance users’ experience.

New materials for learners include ▲Korean vocabulary (App), ▲Korean language pronunciation, ▲Korean
grammar & idiomatic expressions, and ▲Sejong Korean Self-study. In particular, the Korean vocabulary learning
materials will be able to be easily accessed through App, too, so that users can study at ease.

The Korean language pronunciation material to be unveiled in February focuses on phonological rules. Learners
will first study the consonants and vowels of the Korean language through PopPopping Korean: Pronunciation,
which has already been being offered, and move on to the new contents for more intensive study. It will also
feature audio files for each volume so that teachers can instantly get help from it.

Some parts of the self-study aids will be reformed and newly devised volumes are going to be added so that
learners can hone their Korean language skills in the comfort of their home. These are developed based on
KSI’s Standard Textbook Sejong Korean Volume 1 to 8. Among the previous volumes of Sejong Korean, volume
1 and 2 will be reformed whereas vol. 7 and 8 will be newly added. Mobile users will also be able to access to
these resources. The Korean grammar & idiomatic expressions materials are to be offered in November.

For teachers, the foundation is going to produce and distribute ▲Korean word cards ▲the game of Yut kits to
all branches during the second half of the year.

In October, the foundation will also restructure the ‘Nuri-Sejong Hakdang’ so that users can quickly and
conveniently use it from their mobile devices. It will also develop and produce learning contents optimized
to SNS such as Nuri-Sejong Hakdang’s official Facebook, Weibo and blogs.
