KSI Unveils Flash Cards on Korean Culture as Secondary Material for Korean Culture Learning

The KSIF introduces the “KSI Korean Culture Flash Cards,” secondary Korean culture learning and teaching material on the Nuri-KSI website (nuri.iksi.or.kr) in April this year.

The KSIF has been developing diverse secondary teaching and learning materials, such as Korean word cards and educational posters for KSI. The KSI Korean Culture Flash Card Sets the KSIF introduces in April are designed to be used in KSIs overseas with little access to educational materials to meet the needs of students there.

The Korean Culture Flash Card Sets consist of 600 cards in three categories, including ▲Korean culture, ▲Korean tourist attractions, and ▲Korean food. Each flash card bares a photo on one side, which helps learners who are not familiar with Korean culture understand Korean culture more clearly and efficiently. Information on the photo is written on the other side of the card. The KSIF also developed a handbook for Korean culture classes on diverse topics related to Korean culture, which is designed to cover 23 hours of classes.

The KSIF’s president Lee Hai-young pointed out the shortage of educational materials on the Korean language and Korean culture in schools around the world, adding that the KSIF would continue to develop diverse educational materials to meet the needs of both learners and teachers.
