The “Online Studio Making” project inside the online education support center carried out by the King Sejong Institute Foundation (hereinafter KSIF, President: Lee Hae-young) since July was successfully completed in early September. The project was conducted with the purpose of leading the online Korean language education to cope with the non-face-to-face era.
The online studio is equipped with optimal facilities such as soundproof walls and air-conditioning and high-quality filming equipment. KSIF plans to use the online studio for various purposes such as making Korean education practice videos, real-time education video transmission of dispatched teachers of KSI, as well as KSIF events, congratulatory messages from organization heads, and external video conferences, etc. It is expected to reduce budgets due to studio and shooting equipment rentals.
Meanwhile, on September 10, the Education Support Department took a pilot video of ‘KSI Teacher Training in Korea in the Second Half of 2021’ in the online studio.
Afterwards, a ceremony for the commendation by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism was held for the achievements of Keimyung University and Soon Chung Hyang University. The two universities have been operating KSI for the last ten years to contribute to the spread of Korean language outside the country. KSI Dushanbe, which has been operated by Keimyung University since 2011, is the only King Sejong Institute in Tajikistan that has produced 2,000 students in the past five years. KSI Tashkent, operated by Soon Chun Hyang University, is the largest King Sejong Institute in Central Asia, attracting about 1,400 learners annually.
KSIF plans to prepare the application plan based on the demand survey by each department from October and start operating the studio.
