Business Agreement Signed Between KSI Center.U.S.A and Korean Cultural Center LA

  1. Business agreement to efficiently disseminate Korean language and culture in the United States
  2. Joint planning and operation of research on Korean language education, fostering Korean teachers, cultural events, etc.
  3. Synergy expected by KSI Center.U.S.A taking responsibility for offline Korean education, while the Korean Cultural Center LA takes over online education

The King Sejong Institute Foundation (President: Kang Hyounhwa, hereinafter KSIF) has signed a business agreement with the Korean Cultural Center LA on June 19.

The agreement was made to earnestly implement the “Agreement to disseminate Korean in the USA” that KSIF signed with the Korean Cultural Center LA early last year. Through this agreement, the two organizations will be able to utilize their resources more efficiently and respond effectively to the local demands for Korean language and culture.

The KSI Center.U.S.A and the Korean Cultural Center LA will jointly plan and operate the research on Korean language education in the United States, as well as the training of Korean teachers, cultural events, etc.

In addition, through this agreement, KSI Center.U.S.A will be able to use the facilities provided by the KCCLA such as offices, educational spaces, and Korean Language Experience Hall to efficiently implement the Korean-language dissemination projects.

In particular, the agreement includes visa support of KCCLA for personnel dispatched to the KSI Center.U.S.A, which will hopefully resolve some of the difficulties occurring in obtaining visas.

President Kang Hyounhwa of KSIF commented, “It is very meaningful in that the agreement has established a stable foundation for the spread of Korean language and culture in North America. We will continue to support KSI Center.U.S.A and KCCLA as needed.”
