The King Sejong Institute Foundation (President: Kang Hyounhwa, hereinafter KSIF) has held the ‘King Sejong Institute Regional On-Line Workshop 2021’ for three days from June 29 to July 1.
The workshop was hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by KSIF, targeting members of the KSI and local Korean language experts, and was broadcasted live to participants from the Asia and Oceania region. This workshop was different from the previous ones in that it focused on the retraining on practical affairs and training program teaching methods for local staff of KSI.
On the first day, cooperation plans suited for each region were outlined through presentation of excellent KSI cases. Cultural education training was composed of Korean food and Hangeul calligraphy.
On the second day, retraining on practical affairs was conducted in groups of teachers and local experts, and cases based on interculturalism and teaching methods were provided. Lectures were also conducted using K-Hanbok and K-wave textbooks.
On the last day, demonstrations of online use of the Sejong Culture Academy and K-beauty were provided to the executives group, and a discussion on the roles of the King Sejong Institute in the local community.
KSIF plans to hold a total of three workshops this year. The second workshop after this first one will be held in the American region (August), and the third in the Europe, Middle East, and African regions (November).
